Kit BK41: Hamburg V5T Triebwagen (Bogie motor tramcar)
Brief History
- In 1943 the car builders Waggonbau Uerdingen built 21 bogie motor
tramcars for Hamburg, these being designated Type V5T.
- 10 cars were destroyed by aerial bombardment in 1943.
- During 1954 - 1956 the cars were fitted with the large route number box
on the roof.
- All V5T cars were scrapped between 1968 and 1969.
Kit special features
- This kit has two unmotorised bogies. A matching pair of MEEQ motorised bogies is available
separately.
- The whitemetal trolley pole is non-working.
- The transfer sheet supplied contains the Hamburg HHA logo, lettering,
numbers and destinations.
- The kit is suitable for towing kit 42 Hamburg V5B
trailer car.
